The poll search for homes was conducted on www.Ziprealty.com. The search was done from 2007 to 2009 and as you know the market has increase alittle if not some in most markets. I am sure that the article is taking the numbers from 2007 to make the increase justified for most of the markets in the articles. “For more than a year now we’ve been seeing distressed areas with heavily discounted properties dominate the ‘hot’ markets where homes fetch more than the asking price, and it’s a great sign that we’re now starting to see higher-priced areas going over asking price, too,” said Leslie Tyler, vice president and chief home hunter for ZipRealty. “These hot micro-markets across California and Dallas-Fort Worth point to the continued stabilization happening in different areas nationwide.” As an active realtor in the DFW market, I will submitt to you that numbers are only as good as the buyers in the area.
